TikTok’s Trust & Safety Wellbeing team is dedicated to enhancing the psychological health and wellbeing of Trust and Safety employees worldwide. Kennix Ho, who led the project called PraisePal a “timely and lucky find” that helped them achieve their long-term engagement goals through its automated engagement platform and global rewards system.
The Challenge: Traditional engagement methods were passive and limited results
Kennix explained that the team had created valuable content to enhance employees' wellbeing in support of Trust & Safety work demands, but driving awareness and usage across global teams can be challenging.
“Before PraisePal, we tried getting employees to engage by informing them about our campaigns via company message chats as the main communications channel. While it was effective to some extent, it was passive, and growth in participation numbers were slower than we have liked".

And now to be honest, we are all very happy with the level of active participation at 87%, which is among the highest I’ve ever seen in similar campaigns that I know of.”
